Zuzanna Gronkiewicz, Piotr Wójtowicz, Andrzej Sobieraj, Antoni Krzeski

Chronic as well as acute sinusitis may cause life threatening
intracranial and orbital complications. The reported case is
an example of the frontal bone osteomyelitis with puffy Pott’s
tumour concomitant with epidural abscess – complications of
chronic sinusitis with polyps in patient with non-steroid antiinflammatory
drugs intolerance syndrome. The history of the
disease is a voice in the long lasting discussion on the management
of frontal osteomyelitis with the defect exposing anterior
scull fossa. In the analysis of mentioned case the importance of
good compliance in patient- clinician relationship for the process
of management is highlightened as well as the necessity of
radical methods utilization for prevention of complication of
chronic sinusitis unless functional or conservative treatment
