Immunopathogenesis of myasthenia

Immunopathogenesis of myasthenia gravis is discussed on the ground of current experimental studies and medical literature. The structure and function of neuromuscular junction and nicotinic acetylcholine receptor are described. The experimental and clinical data which indicate for the autoimmune background of neuromuscular transmission disorders are presented. Directions of further myasthenia research are also outlined.
