 Bronchial asthma
The influence of a child's asthma on it's family

The article presents the review of research concerning psychological aspects of asthmatic children's families functioning. The results show disfunctioning of these families in the area of inter-family relationships and communication of married couple. The researchers point out that there is a feedback relationship between disorders of family functioning and strengthening child's asthma symptoms. They also show parents' overprotective attitudes and their excessive criticism. The artcile contains the scietific results which prove that fathers must take an active part in the process of rehabilitation and that asthmatic children families should be supported by professional psychological care.
