Antoni Krzeski, Hanna Baltaziuk, Sławomir Białek, Katarzyna Białek, Anna Galewicz-Zielińska

The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and tolerance of budesonide of Glaxo Wellcome Poznań S.A. applied in the water suspension in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis. 127 subjects with seasonal allergic rhinitis with positive skin prick test were enrolled into the study. The study was performed during pollen season in patients with allergic symptoms. The evaluation of efficacy and tolerance of budesonide was based on symptom reduction according to physician and patient evaluation. Patient evaluation as well as physician opinions demonstrate statistically significant reduction of symptoms as nose blocking (p<0.0005), sneezing (p<0.01), conjunctivitis (p<0.0005), rhinorrhea (p<0.0005), and itching nose (p<0.0005).
