The role of ionic channels of the T cell in cellular signaling

Ionic channels are protein structures responsible for ionic transport through biological membranes. They play an important role in signal transduction systems. These channels have been extensively studied to establish their role in physiology and pathogenesis of several diseases as well as their treatment. This review presents current issues on ionic channels with special focus on T - cells, which play a key role in the inflammatory processes in the airways.
