Increased concentration of allergen specific IgE antibodies was observed in 43 and IgG4 in 30 children from the group of 48 children with food allergy. Increased asIgG4 concentration in 4 children probably depended on a diet. Our study does not definitely confirm the role of antigen specific IgG4 antibodies in the pathogenesis of food allergy.
