Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction in asthmatics
Ziemowit Ziętkowski, Mateusz Łukaszyk, Wojciech Budny, Anna Bodzenta-Łukaszyk

Physical exercise may cause exacerbation of asthma symptoms. In patients
with asthma, regular recreational sport does not have a negative
impact on the respiratory system, but rather improves overall health and
physical development. However, this requires the proper asthma treatment,
the skilful use of bronchospasm-preventing drugs, appropriate
choice of sport discipline and proper conditions in which it is being practiced.
These are the basic elements necessary to ensure the effectiveness
of the therapeutic intervention.
