Adipose tissue and its role in immunity – new data

The paper describes the role of adipose system in immunity. The tissue
is composed by cytokines. Their number has increased recently, and now
among them, not only adiponectin, leptin, resistin, visfatin, omentin,
cartonectin, VASPIN (visceral adipose-tissue-derived serine protease
inhibitor), RBP4 (serum retinol-binding protein 4), and adipsin can be
named, but also PAI-1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), angiotensinogen,
lipocain 2, protein ANGPTL2 (angiopoietin-like protein 2) and SFPR5
(secreted frizzled-related protein 5), as well as CRP, TNF, IL-6, IL-18, CCL2
(CC-chemokine ligand 2) and CXCL5 (CC-chemokine ligand 5). Moreover,
the role of immune cells in adipose tissue in modelling the immunity has
been described.
