Adipose tissue and immunity system

In the paper new data on the connection of the adipose tissue with
immunity system have been shown. Moreover, important substances
for functioning of adipose tissue – adipocytokines have been described,
among them adiponectin, leptin, resistin, visfatin, omentin,
cartonectin, VASPIN (visceral adipose-tissue-derived serine protease
inhibitor), RBP4 (serum retinol-binding protein 4) and adipsin. A role
of innate immunity receptors – TLR (Toll-like receptors), have been
discussed.
