Erythema fixum and other less frequent types of fixed drug eruption

The following questions of fixed drug eruption have been discussed: 1/ mechanism of cutaneous memory: serum factor and suppressor/cytotoxic T lymphocytes; 2/ epidemiology in the developed and less developed countries; 3/ genetic predisposition to fixed drug eruption; 4/ clinical picture (affected sites, duration, erythema, bullous eruptions, hyperpigmentad and nonpigmented lesions, constitutional symptoms); 5/ FDE-triggering drugs: barbiturates, antibiotics, aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and some other drugs; 6/ cross reactivity of some drugs in fixed drug eruptions; 7/ fixed drug eruption due only to combination of two drugs; 8/ diagnostic methods, especially oral and topical provocation.
