Allergy continues to be an increasing health problem. In addition to chronic atopic diseases, allergy may be responsible for severe conditions, sometimes leading even to death. It is often difficult to determine heir causes. The author reports a new cause of the anaphylactic reaction attributable to inhabiting new living spaces. The biology of pigeon tick and the symptoms it may produce in allergic people are described.
