Multiorgan staphylococcal infection in a child with hyper-IgE syndrome

Hyper-IgE syndrome (Job syndrome, hyperIgE recurrent infection syndrome), a rare imunodeficiency, is characterized by recurrent skin and pulmonary abscesses, pneumonia with formation of pneumatoceles, recurrent eczematoid rashes, typical constitutional traits, as well as extremely high serum IgE levels. A case of a 2,5 year old boy with a Job syndrome and with the symptoms of eczematoid rashes, pneumonia and staphylococcal sepsis has been reported.
