 Management of atopic allergy

Allergen immunotherapy is the method of causative treatment of patients with allergic diseases. The new methods are being introduced to increase its safety and efficacy and to improve comfort of the patinets. One of this less invasive options is sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT), which is particularly useful in children. In the article we are trying to sum up five years of experience with this vaccines in Poland. We concentrate on modifications of different schemes and combination of extracts used in immunotherapy, we describe the most prevalent adverse effects and discuss use of concomitant medication.
